Australian Open - And The Winner Is...

On the women's side:
Serena Williams

On the men's side:
Rafael Nadal

Singles tennis on the men's side is at a very exciting point.  So many young players rose to the challenge laid down by Roger Federer, arguably the best mens player in Open Tennis (I would contend that Steffi Graf is the best player of all time).  However, the ladies' side is boring.  Too many young girls who hit the ball hard with no thought of how to construct a point.  The Williams sisters are able to go deep into a major (Serena won the Aussie) without being in top form.  That is just sad and one giant yawn-fest.

I'm sorry to see the Australian Open end, but now I can get back to my blogging, housework, feeding my family, refamiliarizing myself with my children's names, and life in general.

I'm looking forward to the end of May when the French Open occurs.

Welcome back. You need to vacuum and dust around here.

Why should I do that when I don't even do that in my own home?!

Great to be back. I've missed you!

I thought you were, um, special, when it came to your, um, interest, in tennis. Turns out my wife's brother-in-law stayed up until 2:30 AM watching the Aussie stuff, then his wife and son got him up at 8:00 AM to watch some more. He fell back into bed to rest up for the football deal.

I can't empathizeor understand, but I must accept your existence.

Go get 'em, goofies. At least you aren't hurting anyone.

LOL - Don! Well, I suppose I deserve that. I never could understand all of the fuss over play offs and super bowls, but I guess I'm one of them.

I love that you called me goofy. Everyone who knows me would say that word fits me to a "T".
